Registration for the 2020 One-on-One Employment Meetings is Now Open

To assist domestic enterprises with recruiting overseas talents, the Ministry of Economic Affairs has organized three One-on-One Employment Meetings across Taiwan starting April 2020. Overseas Chinese and foreign students, as well as any interested foreigners in Taiwan, are all invited to participate in the meetings and have one-on-one interviews with Taiwanese companies. This event is the best channel for Taiwanese enterprises to find talents that have the advantage of knowing both their local languages and business cultures in order to help them enter the overseas market. Given the fact that over 40,000 overseas Chinese and foreign students are living in Taiwan, with nearly 5,000 graduates each year, they can provide Taiwan with a large supply of human resources. Since the implementation of the Ministry of Labor’s evaluation system for overseas Chinese and foreign students, restrictions on work permit applications have been loosened. This has been met by a yearly increase in the willingness of overseas Chinese and foreign students to stay in Taiwan after graduation.

In response to the demand for overseas talents from Taiwanese enterprises and the increasing number of overseas Chinese and foreign job seekers who have graduated from Taiwanese universities, the Ministry of Economic Affairs has established collaborative platforms with universities such as National Taiwan University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, National Chen Kung University, National Tsing Hua University, and National Chiao Tung University. The annual One-on-One Employment Meetings have since become the best free platform for domestic companies to find international talents.

There are no restrictions on the types of industries or job vacancies for participating Taiwanese companies, and no registration fee required. Any company that registered for membership with Contact Taiwan and published their job vacancies on the Contact Taiwan website can join the event.

Through these one-on-one employment meetings, Taiwanese companies can not only receive resumes from various talents but also filter out unsuitable applicants in advance by using Contact Taiwan’s website to increase efficiency.

The first meeting of the year will be held in Hsinchu on April 16 at International Hall B 10th Fl. of the Ambassador Hotel. Details of the other sessions are shown in the table below.
